I ntroduction

obile Distributed Computing Laboratory 는 1996년 3월에 창설되어, 최훈 교수님의 지도 아래 모바일 컴퓨팅과 분산 시스템에 관한 연구를 수행하고 있다. 본 연구실에서는 분산 시스템의 구조와 신뢰성에 대한 연구, 모바일 컴퓨팅을 지원하기 위해 휴대용 장치에 필요한 시스템 소프트웨어와 미들웨어 그리고 통신 프로토콜이 주요 연구 분야이다. 현재 본 연구실에서 수행중인 연구 분야는 군집로봇 (Swarm robotics)이다. 군집로봇은 제한적 능력(센싱, 통신, 컴퓨팅)을 가진 로봇들이 중앙 제어 없이 분산적으로 동작함으로써 하나의 집단으로서 공동의 목적을 달성하기 위한 시스템을 다룬다. 현재 특히 자율적 군집 드론의 상황인식과 행동결정 알고리즘 등을 연구중이다.
